Lots of delicious little things all on this Coonawarra plate. Nougat, coffee, toffee, oak, smoke, rancio, passed through a sepia tinted lens, organised like a wunderkammer, and daintily placed on the palate. All organised and sequenced to harmonise long after the sip has passed. Sweetmeats, they used to call them.
